After a traumatic incident during his residency, young medical student James Hayman (Namir Smallwood) is transferred to a rural hospital for a fresh start. Dr. Harrison (seasoned stage and screen actor Michael Potts) notices that James is struggling and has difficulty building relationships with his patients. He suggests that he take a course that focuses on bedside manners and fostering deeper relationships with patients.
